From the diary of Silvan the Faerie Session date: 6.1.2005 20.5. We retroactively cast spells to create some Spawning Liquid, then cast spells to Hêrâ to boost her constitution. Felaithan said that while Deilo couldn't cast a spell to find out what was being spoken here, he could cast a spell to find out what a specific person's plans were. Also, demonic spies were to be gotten rid of. Mind flayers were said to be using mind control to avoid detection. Felaithan also said that there'd been two attempts on his life already, and that Tralla was missing. The goblin village was currently being evacuated, and it seemed like the goblins were undergoing some sort of negotiations with the demons. There had been a lot of contact between the goblins and the demons. He also warned that there would undoubtedly be attempts on Longfoot's life, as well. The Queen of Aleandor said that Aleandor's troops would not join the battle in the underground caves unless Deilo would be gotten rid of. She thought the dwarves should evacuate, and that Aleandor was prepared to give them some sort of reservate should they leave Tundan. She thought it was imperative to get the demons under the sky, out from the underground caves. Buran agreed with this, saying they dwarves would concentrate on defending Tundan and leaving the other caves alone. Lorenian spoke of spells that had been talked about, of a great spell that would change a river's direction and make it flow into the Great Burning Hollow. The pressure and steam from this would destroy all life underground, but also forcing the dwarves to evacuate. There was a chance that Deilo might discover this plan, but at least it would drive the demons out. There was also a chance that this would make the Great Burning Hollow collapse entirely, among other things burying several Black Steel mines. Should this happen, the water from the swamp would all pour down to where the Great Burning Hollow had once been. After discussing this plan for a while, Taelan the Biologist commented that there was a volcano in the Great Burning Hollow, and it might not be a good plan to sink it under water. We discussed things in detail, finally deciding upon the following plans: 1) Find the time mage Marlin, to see if he would help us kill Deilo 2) Step up all military units to full readiness, giving the reason to be that there's no knowing of what the demons might do and when they might attack. The dwarves will be given the reason that they have to be ready to defend Tundan. 3) Make four bombs to flood the underground and block the routes to the Great Burning Hollow. Felaithan was dispatched to find Marlin. 21.5. - 24.5. Aleandorian troops deployed to the northern border, elves to their own border. Goblins evacuated to Myrnur. Kobolds allied themselves with the demons and moved to the Great Burning Hollow. Lorenian ordered me to use my teleporting abilities to perform messenger duty during the battle. 25.5. Lorenian attempted to teleport two bombs to the Great Burning Hollow and succeeded. The demons assaulted the dwarves while the dwarves were withdrawing from Tundan. Between one twelfth and one thirteenth of Tundan's dwarves were slain. The demons collapsed some holes to the ground and fled the Great Burning Hollow before we could flood it. All the Aleandorian golems and the Myrnur one were on the move. The Aleandorian golems consisted of twenty-eight ordinary ones, five blacksteel ones and one juggernaut. Draggis was assaulted by balrogs, succubi and incubi. Angels and battle mages scrambled to defend the dragon. Four balrogs were slaved under the battle mages' control. The enemies killed Draggis, after which the enemy began to retreat. Six balrogs were slain during the fighting. Of the angels, one sixth were slain. Of the incubi, one eighth. Tundan fell under attack, and Abrahm refused to commit his angels to their defense since not all the defenders had arrived there yet. The dwarves ordered a retreat, but suffered heavy casualties. After four tenths of the dwarves had perished in their attempt to pull away, the dwarves accepted the demon's offer of surrender. They were driven underground, where they could no longer affect the battle. Aradriel was attempting to animate our dead before Abrahm could resurrect them, binding them to this conflict. Juliennah was carrying out mind control, attempting to take over the minds of the enemies. Lorenian teleported Juliennah and Abrahm to where Aradriel was. Juliennah took over the mind flayers protecting Aradriel, making the fight Deilo. Abrahm attacked Aradriel, slaying him in single combat. Quickly afterwards, Abrahm cast a spell that destroyed the Book of Necreegh, destroying Aradriel. Suddenly, beings with a spirit stopped from dying until they were beaten apart, and even then the spirits stayed in their bodies. This led to the demons without spirits being pretty quickly killed. The balrogs spotted Juliennah, attacking her and paying no heed to their own casualties as Juliennah mind-controlled them. Lorenian realized that something was happening, and teleported us to where the balrogs were. Juliennah was killed in the fighting. Balrogs found Abrahm, attacking him. Abrahm challenged them, demanding them to serve him. One of them was separated from the group to face Abrahm in single combat. Abrahm cast a spell, banishing its spirit back into the void. Now protected by the balrogs, he destroyed Juliennah's mirror. Session close: 19:50 6.1.2005
