From the diary of Silvan the Faerie Session date: 26.12.2004 15.5. Longfoot left somewhere. The rest of us remained in the inn, after doing some healing magics to Hêrâ. Buran left as well. I accepted Lorenian's offer of becoming a Faerie. We went to a hill outside, and Lorenian cast a long spell. Suddenly I felt all of my senses being enhanced by the sunlight, and I experienced all things in a new way. My destiny was now linked with Lorenian's, for should she die, I would die as well. I have long sought for my true master, the one who is the guardian of all things lush and growing. Yet, as all things living must one day die, I have been forced to accept that one day gods too may die. I cannot cling to the past and stay in mourning forever - it is time for me to move on and join the one whose wisdom and cunning will let me have my vengeance against those who have slain the Father of Trees. From now onwards, I swear allegiance to Lorenian, the Goddess of Light Buran left to become king. Longfoot went to help him. 16.5. We were woken up around four in the morning. Juliennah and Lorenian were discussing all sorts of locations, and were casting spells to the walls. Then we sat down to wait for Abrahm's arrival. Both Fleandors were present, as well as the Karmandor bunch. We were introduced to Rondar, the leader of Aleandorian battlemages, here on Juliennah's request. Some others were present, as well. Juliennah sat with a look of deep concentration on her face, the helmet of Tundas on her head. At about five o'clock, Abrahm arrived, in elegant full armor (aside for a helmet and gloves) and wearing amulets and rings. He and his two angel escorts, Samuel and Lorienne, were let in. "Let's try to keep this tavern intact," Abrahm commented. "wouldn't want to lose my popularity around here." "I don't know if you recognized it, but this really is Tundas' helmet," Juliennah said, "and all those countermeasures you brought were for naught. For the first time, I have seen all of your plans and musings." Abrahm rose, alarmed. "Sit down," Lorenian said. "It's too late for you to try to hide anything." Juliennah began to accuse Abrahm, telling him that he'd broken against all the gods by moving against them in such a way. Even when Juliennah had been in power, she'd only imprisoned gods, not slain them like Abrahm already had. Abrahm retorted that Juliennah had needed Tundas' power, implying this to be the true reason for why Tundas had been left alive. "So far, you have slain Tundas, Tamaol, Ulenlan and Dorgan," Juliennah said. "Now that you got started, go ahead and tell the rest," Abrahm bitterly replied. "These helpers of yours might be interested in knowing how you've been taking advantage of them from the beginning." She told us that Abrahm had always been more than aware of everything we had been doing. We'd been keeping an eye on Galileus and Werner for him, and the biggest thing was that Abrahm had sold Ulenlan's skull to the orcs, creating water when one of us would get close enough. This had brought Ulenlan back to life, and Abrahm had been aware of the mission we were sent to all along. The plan had been for Ulenlan to wake up, attracting Lorenian to join forces with Ulenlan and go to a river where Abrahm's spell would have slain them both. Unfortunately for him, only Ulenlan had gone there. Juliennah confirmed Abrahm's plan really was to destroy all the other gods and be the only one left. The only artifact he still had was the scythe of Fangas. To destroy the others, he had created circles of magic-amplifying stones and made Impossible-level spells that could slay gods. Abrahm submitted to an alliance with the two other gods. The largest problem in this plan was Deilo, as no surprise attacks could be made for as long as Deilo existed. Rondar demanded to be present in all decisions made. Fleandor asked what the dwarves' situation was. Rondar said he was aware of dwarves having asked for help, but he wasn't ready to risk the lives of a single battle mage in the underground caverns. While he felt sympathy for the dwarves, he couldn't see how the forces of Aleandor could help. Looking at us, Abrahm commented that we'd probably all turned our backs on him, with Buran being the last one to leave his forces. I practiced my recently-gained teleporting ability. As I practiced I couldn't help but notice all the trees outside, and I felt a pang of sadness for abandoning my origins as a Dryad. But it was too late for second thoughts. And one cannot live in the past forever... Tamaol is dead now, and I must change or else die with him. His legacy must not die. 17.5. Longfoot returned with the golem we'd seen before. He'd brought it back for the royal house of Myrnur. I went to see how Buran's campaign to become king was going. I grabbed a ride with Longfoot, practicing teleporting on the way. The demon wanted to come too, but we left him here. 18.5. We arrived to Tundan. I practiced teleporting. 19.5. Elections for the new Dwarven King were held. Dwarves from all over the kingdom turned up to cast their votes. I practiced teleporting while waiting. We gathered to a great hall to hear the results. Buran's competitor, Koedan, would've been voted as the winner, but somebody had killed him. In his absence, Buran would be chosen as the king. After some investigation, it turned out that Aleandorian Battle Mages had slain Koedan. There were some rather heated speeches made against Aleandor. Somebody rose up, protesting as the representative of Aleandor and saying that he'd refuse to listen to such talk. Buran was crowned as the king. The man demanded an audience with the new king, and Buran said one would be granted within a few hours. Buran conferred with his council. Longfoot showed up, telling me that Koedan had been murdered by the demon's incubus emissary. Lorenian tried to teleport me, but failed. I was sent to Myrnur on the second try. I was not told why. I went with Lorenian to a high-level meeting. Buran wanted to find Marlin, and asked everybody if they had any clues for his location. Felaithan had heard a completely different tale, of Marlin having been burnt while trying to help Keildan. Felaithan told the story of Marlin, who had been left in an ditch. The other reason why Buran had called the meeting was that he wanted Deilo eliminated, at any cost. We discussed making changes to the past, but Radius was against it. If time magic was to be used, we should make changes to the future, because trying to change what had already happened would be very dangerous and there would be no way of knowing what would happen if we did that. People suggested teleporting to Deilo or teleporting him, but teleporting to him would've required being tough enough to kill him while teleporting him would require knowledge of his location. There were plenty of ideas suggesting us visiting the future and attacking Deilo there. Plenty of other ideas were discussed. Session close: 19:21 26.12.2004
